This work is inspired by a lucid and recurring dream that the artist has carried since childhood. The composition is articulated around two axes of tension: earthly vulnerability and cosmic omnipresence.
At the center of the scene, the artist projects herself as a golden-haired rag doll—a powerful symbol of fragility, passivity, and projected identity. Traditionally handmade objects of comfort, these rag dolls here represent the artist’s self or soul: small and helpless before the vastness of existence.
The figure clings to her rag cat, Nino. This connection serves as the work's emotional anchor. Nino is not merely a toy, but a transitional object symbolizing the bond, security, and inner strength the artist evokes within the vast reaches of her subconscious.
Dominating the canvas above is an esoteric and vibrant Eye of Providence, framed within a triangle and floating against a star-dusted night sky. With its piercing pupil, this eye evokes Omniscience, a Higher Consciousness, or perhaps the anxiety of being watched and judged by an inescapable force. It is the watcher of the unconscious—a reminder that even in the most private spaces of the being, there remain.
